The HDL-MSOUT.4W is designed for the outdoors and can precisely detect temperature, Lux, humidity, motion, and dry contact status. The unit’s functionality is further extended by its diversified logic output targets, and the ability to operate in extremely low temperatures thanks to smart temperature protection.
- Doppler motion sensor
To detect motion a variety of techniques can be used but Doppler is by far the most efficient and effective. The Doppler sensor used in the HDL-MSOUT.4W is able to:
- Work in all temperature conditions
- Sense or ‘look through’ any non-metal object or barrier
- Function in dusty and sandy environments
In addition to the above benefits the Doppler sensor has an expected service life of more than 100,000 hours, this is a massive 90,000 service hours more than the commonly used IR motion sensor.
- Tough
With a casing made from Acrylonitrile Styrene Acrylate, the module has immense toughness, is chemically resilient, has excellent thermal stability, and an outstanding resistance to weathering. This guarantees a long service life, and ensures that the HDL-MSOUT.4W can stand up to even the toughest conditions.
- Low Temperature Protection
Extreme climate conditions can have a detrimental effect on electrical equipment, that’s why we have developed the smart temperature protection mode. The mode automatically engages to warm the modules PCB when the temperature drops below -5°C. This allows your HDL-MSOUT.4W to continue operating faultlessly from the depths of winter into the height of summer.
- Logic control
Ultimate versatility is given through dual logic inputs, this allows the module to be incorporated into multiple scenes, and output to over 480 targets. If for instance the module detects movement, security lights can be turned on, shutters closed, sirens triggered, sms notification be sent to a phone, and the security services alerted. The only limit to the scenes created is your imagination!
- Multifunctional
Temperature, luminosity, humidity, and motion can be detected with ease. This allows the module to monitor essential environmental conditions, and warn a home owner of potential intruders. False alarms that are often generated by pets can be eliminated thanks to adjustable motion sensitivity, and the module can be installed in practically any location due to its robust weatherproof design.
- Security integration
Seamless integration with a user’s existing security systems, solutions, or alarms is possible thanks to the modules dry contact inputs. This allows the module to be used in not only HDL security solutions, but any security system that utilizes a dry contact connection.
